About Us

A lifeboat station has been operating here since 1802, from 2007 the volunteer crew have benefited from a brand-new building. Whitby Lifeboat Station is situated on the east coast of England, in North Yorkshire, clearly visible within the busy and attractive harbour of Whitby.

The station houses their D-Class inshore lifeboat OEM Stone III, crew training rooms a galley and office whilst the Trent Class All-Weather lifeboat George and Mary Webb lies afloat outside. A lifeboat station has been operating here since 1802, from 2007 the volunteer crew have benefited from a brand-new building.
